Taking advantage of the qualitites of LWC, John August has designed the beautiful and strong Gecko Stone™ “environmentally secure concrete houses.” They are said to be “fire, rot, termite and hurricane proof” and can “withstand a moderate earthquake without structural failure”. Volcanic eruptions are perhaps the only natural hazard that can endanger such houses (as they would any permanent structure). They would seem perfect for areas such as Florida.
