Smaller, More Efficient Vehicles

Vehicles such as the extremely popular MINI show that a car doesn’t have to be a gas-guzzler to be fun and exciting. Similarly, the Lotus Elise and Exige also demonstrate that high-performance vehicles, if made light enough, needn’t have huge engines. And Tata Motors in India (which now owns the Jaguar and Land Rover automobile brands), in an agreement with the European firm Moteur Development International, plans to produce cars, trucks and vans which run on totally non-polluting compressed air (although some other source of power, such as electricity, must be used to compress the air that goes into the vehicle’s tank).
